Damon the Mower

Damon the mower is an animation that incorporates the 'set' of the animation as the background. We have decided to include our working space within the background of the animation making it's seem like the drawings on the paper are commig to life.

Perspective

We added perspective into our animation to give a sense of depth and dimension. This allows the audience to see the piece of paper as a world that the stump lives in rarther than just a piece of plain paper. The animation becomes less flat and visually engaging for viewers.

Storyline ideas

Storyline idea:
Here stompy is carried through the sky and dropped into this area of giant dandelions. As he is dropped he is a aware of the birds above him who then poo on his head. After this happens he turns around and runs off into the distance.

This scene has taken inspiration from the film honey I shrunk the kids where they shrunk, much like our character.

Character development

As our animation has developed we have had to think more about our main character.
We first created this octopus like character with tentacles, we then realised that this would be hard to keep consistent frame by frame throughout the animation with all the movements and details.

We developed our character into this cute yet comical figure, we thought that this design fitted well with our animation and narrative helping to create a relationship with the viewer.
